Names of Allah
Al-Basir (The All-Seeing)
Al-Baṣīr (ٱلْبَصِير) means the One who sees with perfect, boundless vision — nothing in the heavens or the earth escapes His sight. His seeing is not through organs or limitation but through His eternal awareness of all that exists, visible and hidden. To believe in Al-Basir is to live consciously: knowing that every act, no matter how private, unfolds before divine sight. This awareness nurtures sincerity in worship, mindfulness in behavior, and humility in every deed — for nothing is unseen by the One who perceives all with perfect justice and mercy.

Notes:
- Al-Basir appears approximately 40 times, often linked with As-Sami‘ (The All-Hearing), representing the complete perception of Allah — nothing is unheard, unseen, or unnoticed.
- Al-An‘am (6:104) uniquely distinguishes between created vision and divine perception — Allah sees all while remaining unseen.
- Ash-Shura (42:11) defines transcendence: His sight is perfect yet incomparable to creation.
- Classical scholars note that basar implies seeing with discernment, meaning Allah not only sees but fully comprehends the reality behind every appearance.
- To live with Al-Basir is to act with ihsan — doing good with the awareness that Allah sees you, even when no one else does.
